FAQs

What kind of timeline do you have for taking on new projects?

We are typically booking projects about 1 - 2 months out from the quote date, but this can depend on the scope of your project. We are still available to do a site visit for clients and set some dates for us to reopen communications as to start dates and quotes for your projects. We try to be as accommodating as possible, especially in emergency situations. Please reach out to get a free estimate/quote.

Do you do quotes over the phone?

No. We require site visits and one-on-one communication with the client to be sure we are both clear as to the end goal. After measurements and clarification, we want to ensure we provide our services in the most competent and cost-efficient manner. Please click here to book a visit to do your estimate/quote.

D o you charge to do a quote or estimate?

No. We want to be sure the project is a fit for our team and also for you.

What is the difference between an estimate and a quote?

Estimate – We come to your place and view the scope of the project and offer you a verbal estimate which is a “rough idea” as to the cost. This way, you can determine if you want to move forward with an official quote.

Quote – This is a researched, thorough document that provides both partiesa certain assurance that can’t be achieved with an estimate. We do all the measurements, calculation of time, materials, labour and all costs involved and offer you a written and binding quote.

Do you and your team have Insurance?

Yes, we are insured.

Do you use contracts with your clients?

Yes. We always send out a detailed quote explaining what steps we will take in completing the work, what steps are left for the client (upon their request) and the materials we purchase or don’t purchase for the project. We send the quote by email, and it is considered accepted once approved by the client via email. This provides records for both the client and our team, which helps in avoiding conflicts or confusion.

What happens if I want changes after the project has started?

All contracts(quotes) are living documents. They are always open to revisions. When this arises, it is a simple discussion between our team and the client, assuring how the changes will affect cost, schedule, and end result.

What size of renovation projects do you take on?

We are always open to bidding on any project/task that may be presented to us.

What if I have a small home repair project?

We have a skilled team who focuses on small repairs for our company. We provide maintenance for over 80 units in two different CO-OP housing units doing a variety of small home repairs. There is always room to fit in your small home repairs as well.

How far in advance should I plan my renovation?

The more advance notice, the better the planning and preparation. In saying that, we realize that short notice is sometimes unavoidable. Sometimes emergency situations arise, floods, broken windows, structural issues,...etc. Our team will always do our very best to be there to support a client during these rough times.
